WebDec 20, 2012 · Capless fuel filler and check engine light. I was wondering if anyone else is having the same problem as me with the capless fuel filler. Seems like everytime I get gas recently, the check engine light comes on within a few days. Code P0451; Evap Emission Control System Pressure Sensor Performance. This is on a 2011 5.0 with 18K on it btw. WebDec 23, 2024 · Remember to not fill the gas tank to the top of the container. Use the fuel nozzle cut-off so that it can tell you that it is complete enough. If there is fuel on the tank breather carbon filter canister, it will give a code and prevent the engine from running. With that, you might also have to replace your canister.
