On peak electricity
WebAn ‘Economy 7’ setup (also known as eco 7, two rate, or peak / offpeak tariff) has two different energy prices per day – a day rate, and a 7 hour long cheaper rate overnight. This means you pay less for any energy you use at night (usually between 12:00am and 7:00am) and more for energy used during the day (usually between 7:00am and 12:00am). WebIt offers only two different electricity prices: Peak (16:00 – 19:00) and off-peak (00:00 – 16:00, 19:00 – 11:59). Off-peak electricity is roughly 50% cheaper than during peak hours. In the summer months, the hours change to 5pm – 8pm for peak prices and 8pm – 5pm for off-peal prices. More info >>
